• The Oxford University Press (OUP) picked up ‘Anxiety’ as the Children’s Word of the Year 2021, based on their recent research.
• Apart from “anxiety” (21%), “challenging” (19%), “isolate” (14%), “wellbeing” (13%) and “resilience” (12%) were the children’s top five words.
• In 2020, Coronavirus was the Children’s Word of the Year by OUP.
• More than 8,000 children across the UK, from 3-9 years of age, were asked to pick the top words they would use.

• वैज्ञानिकों ने ताहिती के तट पर विशाल गुलाब के आकार के मूंगों की 3 किमी लंबी एक प्राचीन चट्टान की खोज की है, जो पानी में इतना गहरा है कि इसे गर्म समुद्र के विरंजन प्रभावों से बचाने के लिए पर्याप्त माना जाता है।

Rare pristine coral reef found off Tahiti coast

• What struck Hedouin was that the corals looked healthy and were not affected by a bleaching event in 2019.
• Corals are tiny animals that grow and form reefs in oceans around the world.
• Scientists have swum throughout a rare length of perfect corals that resemble roses off the coast of Tahiti in the South Pacific.
• The reef, which is estimated to be one of the world’s deepest, appears to be unaffected by climate change or human actions.
• Laetitia Hedouin said she first saw the corals during a recreational dive with a local diving club months earlier.
