President Kovind gives assent to National Medical Commission Bill

  • On August 8, 2019, Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting Shri Prakash Javadekar launched the e-version of Rozgar Samachar with a view to make aspirants aware of job opportunities in government sector including public sector enterprises.
  • The journal has been priced at 75% of the cost of its print version and is available for an annual subscription fee of Rs. 400.

NSE, SGX get SEBI’s nod to operate jointly in GIFT City

  • On August 6, 2019, The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Singapore Exchange (SGX) received permission from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to operate jointly in Gujarat International Finance Tec (GIFT) City under the proposed programme ‘Connect’.
  • Nifty index, which is trading on SGX in Singapore, will be traded on a joint platform between the NSE and SGX in GIFT City.
