UAE to launch spacecraft to Mars in 2020

  • The UAE has announced that it will launch the Hope Probe, the Arab world’s first spacecraft to Mars, in July 2020.

US finalizes $670 million foreign military sales to support India’s C-17 aircraft

  • On July 26, 2019, The United States (US) approved foreign military sales worth $670 million to support India’s C-17 military transport aircraft in order to enhance operational readiness and ability to provide Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HA/DR) assistance in the Indo-Pacific region.
  • The proposed sale will support the foreign policy and national security of the United States by helping to strengthen the US-Indian strategic relationship and to improve the mobility capabilities of a major defensive partner.
